Singles Results

Salvatore Caruso vs. Andrey RublevĀ (10)

The tenth-seeded Andrey Rublev would cruise to a straight-sets victory over Italian Salvatore Caruso today. In the opening set of their match, Rublev would get three breaks of Caruso’s serve en route to a 6-0 set victory.

In the second set, Rublev would only need two breaks to take the set 6-4. In the third set, Rublev would dominate, taking another set 6-0 and the match 6-0, 6-4, 6-0.

Jeffrey John WolfĀ (wc) vs. Daniil MedvedevĀ (3)

2019 US Open Semifinalist Daniil Medvedev would take care of business today against American wildcard Jeffrey John “JJ” Wolf.

In the opening set of their match, Medvedev would break Wolf’s serve twice to take the set 6-3. In the second set, Medvedev would get two more breaks to take the set 6-3.

In the third set, Medvedev would get three breaks to take the set 6-2 and the match 6-3, 6-3, 6-2.

Roberto Bautista AgutĀ (8) vs. Vasek Pospisil

After defeating fellow Canadian Milos Raonic earlier in the tournament, Vasek Pospisil would get a huge victory over the eighth-seeded Roberto Bautista Agut today.

In the opening set, with no breaks of serve through eleven games, Pospisil would break Bautista Agut’s serve in the twelfth game to take the set 7-5.

In the second set, Bautista Agut would answer by winning five straight games in a row at one point on his way to a 6-2 set victory. In the third set, Bautista Agut would get an immediate break and would ride that break to a 6-4 set victory.

In the fourth set, with the set tied at three, Pospisil would win three games in a row to take the set 6-3. In the fifth set, Pospisil would get two breaks to take the set 6-2 and the match 7-5, 2-6, 4-6, 6-3, 6-2.

Matteo BerrettiniĀ (6) vs. Casper RuudĀ (30)

Oozing confidence, the sixth-seeded Matteo Berrettini would dominate the thirtieth-seeded Casper Ruud in their match today.

To start the match, Berrettini would take a 3-1 lead and would ride that lead to a 6-4 set victory. In the second set, Berrettini would get another break to take the set 6-4.

In the third set, down 0-1, Berrettini would win six out of the next seven games to take the set 6-2 and the match 6-4, 6-4, 6-2.

Alex de MinaurĀ (21) vs. Karen KhachanovĀ (11)

The twenty-first-seeded Alex de Minaur would win a marathon of a match against the eleventh-seeded Karen Khachanov. In the opening set, de Minaur would get two breaks of Khachanov’s serve to take the set 6-4.

In the second set, Khachanov would respond by winning six games in a row to take the set 6-0. In the third set, Khachanov would get an immediate break and would take the set 6-4.

In the fourth set, de Minaur would respond by winning the first three games en route to taking the set 6-3. In the fifth set, down 0-1, de Minaur would win six games in a row en route to taking the set 6-1 and the match 6-4, 0-6, 4-6, 6-3, 6-1.

Marton Fucsovics vs. Frances Tiafoe

After a huge win against Australian John Millman earlier in the tournament, American Frances Tiafoe would get a straight-sets victory over Marton Fucsovics today.

In the opening set, Tiafoe would take a 4-1 lead early and would close out the set at 6-2. In the second set, Tiafoe would take another early 4-1 lead and would close out the set at 6-3 this time.

In the third set, for the third time, Tiafoe would take a 4-1 lead and would close out the set at 6-2 to take the match 6-2, 6-3, 6-2.

Felix Auger-AliassimeĀ (15) vs. Corentin Moutet

Canadian rising star Felix Auger-Aliassime would take care of business in straight-sets today against Corentin Moutet. In the opening set, Auger-Aliassime would win the first five games and go on to take the set 6-1.

In the second set, Auger-Aliassime would get three breaks of Moutet’s serve to take the set 6-0. In the third set, Auger-Aliassime would get two more breaks to take the set 6-4 and the match 6-1, 6-0, 6-4.

Marin CilicĀ (31) vs. Dominic ThiemĀ (2)

The second-seeded Dominic Thiem would get two breaks of the thirty-first-seeded Marin Cilic’s serve in the first set of their match today to take the set 6-2.

In the second set, Thiem would come out firing, taking the first four games in a row before taking the set 6-2 to take a commanding 2-0 set lead.

In the third set, with the set tied at two, Cilic would win four out of the next five games to take the set 6-3 and force a fourth set. In the fourth set, Thiem would get one break of Cilic’s serve to take the set 6-3 and the match 6-2, 6-2, 3-6, 6-3.

Doubles Results

J.Murray / N.Skupski vs. M.Demoliner / M.Middelkoop

The pairing of Jamie Murray and Neal Skupski would get an easy straight-sets victory over Marcelo Demoliner and Matwe Middelkoop today.

In the opening set, Murray and Skupski would get two breaks of their opponents’ serve to take the set 6-3. In the second set, they would get two more breaks to take the set 6-2 and the match 6-3, 6-2.

J.Sock / J.Withrow vs. M.Pavic / B.Soares

Mate Pavic and Bruno Soares would have to battle for a victory over Americans Jack Sock and Jackson Withrow today, but they would get it done in the end.

In the opening set, Sock and Withrow would get two breaks of their opponents’ serve to take the set 7-5. In the second set, each team would break the other’s serve once on their way to a tiebreak.

In the tiebreak, Pavic and Soares would prevail, 7-5, to take the set 7-6 (7-5). In the third set, Pavic and Soares would only need one break to take the set 6-4 and the match 5-7, 7-6 (7-5), 6-4.

J.Cabal / R.FarahĀ Ā (1) vs. J.Rojer / H.Tecau

Jean-Julien Rojer and Horia Tecau would defeat the top-seeded doubles team of Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah today.

In the opening set of their match, Cabal and Farah would get a break of their opponents’ serve in the first game and would ride that break to a 6-4 set victory.

In the second set, Rojer and Tecau would respond by winning the first three games consecutively and taking the set 6-3. In the third set, down 3-4, Rojer and Tecau would win three games in a row to take the set 6-4 and the match 4-6, 6-3, 6-4.

R.Bopanna / D.Shapovalov vs. K.Krawietz / A.MiesĀ Ā (6)

Rohan Bopanna and Denis Shapovalov would keep rolling in doubles today, defeating the sixth-seeded team of Kevin Krawietz and Andreas Mies.

To start the match, Krawietz and Mies would get two breaks in the opening set to take it 6-4. In the second set, after nine combined consecutive service holds, Bopanna and Shapovalov would get a break to take the set 6-4.

In the decisive third set, with the set tied at three, Bopanna and Shapovalov would win three games in a row to take the set 6-3 and the match 4-6, 6-4, 6-3.
