Denis Shapovalov would win an epic match against American Taylor Fritz, Corentin Moutet would upset Dan Evans, and much more at the US Open.

Singles Results

Cameron Norrie vs. Alejandro Davidovich Fokina

Rising star Alejandro Davidovich Fokina would get a huge victory over Cameron Norrie today. In the opening set of their match, each player would break the other’s serve once on their way to a tiebreak.

In the tiebreak, Davidovich Fokina would prevail, 7-2, to take the set 7-6 (7-2). In the second set, Norrie would only need one break of serve to take the set 6-4.

In the third set, down 1-2, Davidovich Fokina would win five games in a row to take the set 6-2. In the fourth set, Davidovich Fokina would dominate, winning 6-1, to take the match 7-6 (7-2), 4-6, 6-2, 6-1.

Filip Krajinovic (26) vs. David Goffin (7)

Despite Filip Krajinovic’s impressive play as of late, the seventh-seeded David Goffin would dismiss him in straight-sets today.

In the opening set, Goffin would get three breaks of Krajinovic’s serve on his way to a 6-1 set victory. In the second set, each player would break the other’s serve twice on their way to a tiebreak.

In the tiebreak, Goffin would come out on top, 7-5, to take the set 7-6 (7-5). In the third set, Goffin would get two breaks to take the set 6-4 and the match 6-1, 7-6 (7-5), 6-4.

Corentin Moutet vs. Daniel Evans (23) (To Finish)

With Corentin Moutet up 4-6, 6-3, 6-5 against Dan Evans yesterday, the match would be suspended due to rain. Upon resumption today, Moutet and Evans would go to a tiebreak in the third set.

In the tiebreak, Moutet would come out on top, 7-5, to take the set 7-6 (7-5). In the fourth set, down 1-4, Moutet would win five out of the next seven games to force a tiebreak.

In this tiebreak, Moutet would prevail, 7-1, to take the set 7-6 (7-1) and the match 4-6, 6-3, 7-6 (7-5), 7-6 (7-1).

Denis Shapovalov (12) vs. Taylor Fritz (19)

In one of the more exciting matches of the day, the Canadian Denis Shapovalov and the American Taylor Fritz would battle for a victory.

In the first set, Fritz would get one break to take the set 6-3. In the second set, Shapovalov would respond by getting one break to take the set 6-3.

In the third set, down 1-3, Fritz would win five out of the next six games to take the set 6-4 and a commanding 2-1 set lead. In the fourth set, down 2-5, on the edge of elimination, Shapovalov would win four out of the next five games to force a tiebreak.

In the tiebreak, Shapovalov would win, 7-5, to take the set 7-6 (7-5). In the fifth set, Shapovalov would get two breaks to take the set 6-2 and the match 3-6, 6-3, 4-6, 7-6 (7-5), 6-2.

Adrian Mannarino (32) vs. Alexander Zverev (5)

After stumbling out of the gate a little bit against the thirty-second-seeded Adrian Mannarino, Alexander Zverev would cruise to a victory.

In the opening set, each player would break the other’s serve once en route to a tiebreak. In the tiebreak, Mannarino would win, 7-4, to take the set 7-6 (7-4).

In the second set, Zverev would only need one break of serve to take the set 6-4. In the third set, Zverev would win the first three games in a row before taking the set 6-2.

In the fourth set, Zverev would get two breaks to take the set 6-2 and the match 6-7 (4-7), 6-4, 6-2, 6-2.

Pablo Carreno Busta (20) vs. Ricardas Berankis

The twentieth-seeded Pablo Carreno Busta would get an easy straight-sets victory over Ricardas Berankis today. In the opening set, Carreno Busta would get three breaks to take the set 6-4.

In the second set, Carreno Busta would only need two breaks to take the set 6-3. In the third set, he would get another two breaks to take the set 6-2 and the match 6-4, 6-3, 6-2.

Jordan Thompson vs. Mikhail Kukushkin

Jordan Thompson would cruise to a straight-sets victory over Mikhail Kukushkin today. In the opening set, Thompson would get two breaks of Kukushkin’s serve to take the set 7-5.

In the second set, Thompson would get two more breaks to take the set 6-4. In the third set, Thompson would win the first five games in a row before taking the set 6-1 and the match 7-5, 6-4, 6-1.

Stefanos Tsitsipas (4) vs. Borna Coric (27)

In the opening set of the fourth-seeded Stefanos Tsitsipas’ match against Borna Coric, each player would break the other’s serve once en route to a tiebreak.

In the tiebreak, Tsitsipas would prevail, 7-2, to take the set 7-6 (7-2). In the second set, after a medical timeout for his shoulder, Borna Coric would get one break to take the set 6-4.

In the third set, Tsitsipas would respond by getting a break to take the set 6-4 and a commanding 2-1 set lead. In the fourth set, down 1-5, Coric would win six games in a row to take the set 7-5 and force a decisive fifth set.

In the fifth set, Coric would win in a tiebreak, 7-4, to take the set 7-6 (7-4) and the match 6-7 (2-7), 6-4, 4-6, 7-5 7-6 (7-4).

Novak Djokovic (1) vs. Jan-Lennard Struff (28)

The top-seeded Novak Djokovic would waste no time making a memory of his opponent Jan-Lennard Struff. In the opening set of their match, Djokovic would break Struff’s serve once to take the set 6-3.

In the second set, he would get two breaks to take the set 6-3. In the third set, Djokovic would dominate, taking the set 6-1 and the match 6-3, 6-3, 6-1.

Doubles Results

C.Harrison / R.Harrison  (wc) vs. R.Ram / J.Salisbury  (3)

The third-seeded team of Rajeev Ram and Joe Salisbury would get a solid victory today over the American brothers Ryan and Christian Harrison.

In the opening set, Ram and Salisbury would get two breaks of their opponents’ serve to take the set 6-2. In the second set, they would only need one break to take the set 6-4 and the match 6-2, 6-4.

W.Koolhof / N.Mektic  (8) vs. S.Bolelli / M.Gonzalez

The eighth-seeded team of Wesley Koolhof and Nikola Mektic would get a straight-sets victory over Simone Bolelli and Maximo Gonzalez.

In the opening set, Koolhof and Mektic would get two breaks of their opponents’ serve to take the set 6-4. In the second set, they would only need one break to take the set 6-3 and the match 6-4, 6-3.

M.Daniell / P.Oswald vs. C.Eubanks / M.McDonald  (wc)

American wildcards Christopher Eubanks and Mackenzie McDonald would get a straight-sets victory over Marcus Daniell and Philipp Oswald.

In the opening set, each team would break the other’s serve twice on their way to a tiebreak. In the tiebreak, Eubanks and McDonald would prevail, 7-5, to take the set 7-6 (7-5).

In the second set, Eubanks and McDonald would get a break of serve to take the set 6-3 and the match 7-6 (7-5), 6-3.

J.Peers / M.Venus vs. S.Gille / J.Vliegen

Sander Gille and Joran Vliegen would get a solid victory over Australians John Peers and Michael Venus today. In the opening set of their match, Gille and Vliegen would only need one break of their opponents’ serve to take the set 6-4.

In the second set, they would get another break to take the set 6-4 and the match 6-4, 6-4.

E.Escobedo / N.Rubin  (wc) vs. R.Bopanna / D.Shapovalov

Before rain caused the match to be suspended yesterday, Rohan Bopanna and Denis Shapovalov would have a 6-2, 3-2 lead over the American pairing of Ernesto Escobedo and Noah Rubin.

Upon resumption of the match, Shapovalov and Bopanna would take the second set 6-4 to win the match 6-2, 6-4.
