Singles Championship

Anett Kontaveit (4) vs. Fiona Ferro

In the first set of the 31st Palermo Ladies Open Singles Championship, Fiona Ferro would come out firing against the fourth-seeded Anett Kontaveit.

Ferro would break Kontaveit twice, while not dropping her serve once, on her way to a 6-2 set victory. In the second set, Ferro would have to break Kontaveit three times to take the set 7-5.

With this, Fiona Ferro would win the 31st Palermo Ladies Open Singles Championship 6-2, 7-5.

Doubles Championship

E.Cocciaretto / M.Trevisan vs. A.Rus / T.Zidansek

Despite being the hometown favorites, Elisabetta Cocciaretto and Martina Trevisan would fall short against Arantxa Rus and Tamara Zidansek in the championship match today.

In the opening set, Rus and Zidansek would break Cocciaretto and Trevisan twice, in the sixth and twelfth games, to take the set 7-5.

Following this, in the second set, the pair would need to break Cocciaretto and Trevisan three times, while being broken twice, to take the set 7-5.

With this, Arantxa Rus and Tamara Zidansek would win the doubles championship 7-5, 7-5.
