Sara Errani would win a three-set match, the qualifier, Aliaksandra Sasnovich, would move on to the quarterfinals, and much more.

31st Palermo Ladies Open Day 3 Results
Ekaterina Alexandrova (8) vs. Fiona Ferro
To start the day, Fiona Ferro would show that she was ready to play against the eighth-seeded Ekaterina Alexandrova. In the first set of their match, Ferro would break Alexandrova twice, while only being broken once, to take the set 7-5.
In the second set, Ferro would complete the upset by defeating Alexandrova 6-2 to win the match 7-5, 6-2.
Jasmine Paolini vs. Aliaksandra Sasnovich (q)
Aliaksandra Sasnovich would waste no time showing Jasmine Paolini that she came ready to win the match today. Sasnovich wouldn’t allow Paolini a single game in the opening set, holding the sixth game at love, en route to a 6-0 set victory.
In the second set, Sasnovich would finish off yet another impressive match by defeating Paolini 6-2 to win the match 6-0, 6-2.
Sara Errani (wc) vs. Kristyna Pliskova
Kristyna Pliskova would get off to a good start against the former World No. 1, Sara Errani. Pliskova would break Errani four times en route to a 6-3 set victory.
In the second set, Errani would serve very well, not being broken once, winning the set 6-4 to level the match at one set apiece. In the third set, Errani would book her place in the quarterfinals by defeating Pliskova 6-3 and taking the match 3-6, 6-4, 6-3.
Elisabetta Cocciaretto (wc) vs. Donna Vekic (6)
In the first set of Donna Vekic’s match against Elisabetta Cocciaretto, the latter would break Vekic twice en route to a 6-2 set victory.
In the second set, Cocciaretto would defeat Vekic 6-4 to win the match 6-2, 6-4 and move on to the quarterfinals.
A.Rus / T.Zidansek vs. R. Olaru / D. Yastremska (2)
In the doubles, partners Arantxa Rus and Tamara Zidansek would get three breaks of serve against Raluca Olaru and Dayana Yastremska to take the opening set 7-5.
In the second set, the second-seeded duo of Olaru and Yastremska would fight back and win 6-4 to force a third set tiebreak. In the decisive tiebreak, Rus and Zidansek would win 10-8 to take the match 7-5, 4-6, 10-8.
G. Minnen / A. Uytvanck vs. L. Siegemund / Y. Wickmayer (3)
The third-seeded team of Laura Siegemund and Yanina Wickmayer would cruise to an easy first set win against Greet Minnen and Alison van Uytvanck. In the opening set, Siegemund and Wickmayer would break Minnen and Uytvanck twice to take the set 6-2.
In the second set, they would have a much harder time, and Minnen and van Uytvanck would pull off a 7-5 set victory. In the decisive third set tiebreak, Minnen and van Uytvanck would win 10-6 to take the match 2-6, 7-5, 10-6.
G. Perez / S. Tormo (1) vs. L. Paar / J. Wachaczyk
The top-seeded Georgina Garcia Perez and Sara Sorribes Tormo would defeat the team of Laura Ioana Paar and Julia Wachaczyk.
Perez and Tormo would take the opening set 7-5. In the second set, they would win much more easily, 6-2, to take the match 7-5, 6-2.
B. Schoofs / R. Hoek (4) vs. U. Eikeri / E. Lechemia
In the last doubles match of the day, Bibiane Schoofs and Rosalie van der Hoek would get out to a quick one set lead by taking the first set 6-4 against Ulrikke Eikeri and Elixane Lechemia.
In the second set, Schoofs and Hoek would defeat Eikeri and Lechemia 6-3 to take the match 6-4, 6-3.
