World TeamTennis Is Looking For A Host City

Due to COVID-19 and concerns for player, staff, and fan travel, World TeamTennis is currently seeking a single host city for its matches.

The nine-team league still aims to start play on July 12, as it is currently scheduled. However, despite their best efforts, the league will likely start later than they expect and may not be its normal three weeks in length.

If the league can come to a plausible agreement, it could be very good for its players financially.

“We are very excited about this prospect and believe that this will be a unique way to allow our athletes the opportunity to compete for the 2020 WTT King Trophy and this year’s $1,000,000 prize,” said Carlos Silva, the CEO of World TeamTennis.
