1st Tennis COVID-19 Case: Thiago Seyboth Wild

Today, Wednesday, March 25, 2020, Thiago Seyboth Wild became the 1st confirmed case of COVID-19 among tennis players.

The recent Santiago Open Champion uploaded a video to reveal the unfortunate news, saying, “Hey guys. I just wanted to let you know that I’ve contracted the COVID-19 but I’ve self-isolated myself for the past week. And I’ve been taking care of myself and following the doctor’s instructions.”

Although Seyboth Wild is very healthy, this now raises concerns among tennis players, fans, and spectators. For now, we will wait to hear further news on Seyboth Wild and other players. All we can do right now is take this virus seriously.

“This is a reminder for you all to stay at home, take care of the people you love and help us all to not spread this disease. Stay home, and stay safe,” said Seyboth Wild.
